Thomas S. Monaghan founded Domino's Pizza in 1960 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. At first it was called "DomiNicks," but after Tom Monoghan traded a Volkswagon Beetle to his brother James for his half, Domino's Pizza was born. Although its beginnings were modest, Domino's Pizza has grown to enjoy amazing accomplishments. Domino's pizzas are now served to satisfied customers around the world, and many Domino's Team Members have exceeded their wildest career aspirations because of their association with the company.
 
Ever wonder what the three dots stand for in the Domino's Pizza logo? They represent the first three Domino's stores. At the time, the plan was to add a dot for every new store. Obviously, that plan ran out of steam (or, more appropriately, space). We would need to find a domino that has 8,000 dots!
